League cup draw - United (a)

I bet there are. They will be , say 20,000 fans on the league cup scheme and most will be the loyalest with the highest ticket points. I'd say the sales criteria reflect that.

When we got to the cup semi and final in 2011, probably the highest demand ticket games we've had at Wembley, my mate joined the ticket scheme the day before the reading quarter final. So him and his lads got right to the front of the queue immediately. Obviously that's not right but the flip side argument is that the people who join the scheme now are on it if we progress and it's more revenue for City.

Not true when you can just come back off it after the game at the swamp!

No way are there 20k on the cup scheme! I reckon 15k at most, and also no way are 7.5k on over 10000 points. I suspect in recent years the influx of new supporter clubs and corporates are taking even more of every allocation. The LC semi a few years ago at their place went to Citizen members, there is something amiss. I would count myself amongst the reasonably loyal, every home game and at least 10 aways a season inc Europe, yet it does seem games are harder than they were through the normal channels. I know for a fact members of a certain supporters club get every away game including the rags on a quarter of the points I have. Interesting the other week i counted 90 tickets publicly flying about as 'spares' on facebook and on here for Swansea away...approximately 1/25th of our allocation.

It's feasible that we win at the swamp, get drawn away in the quarters yet the club would still allow people to join the ELC scheme as we will not have had a home game by that point.

People who've sat on their hands could then sieze the opportunity to be "made" to buy a semi home leg ticket and probably a shoe in for a final ticket too thereafter.

I think there are. The club keep it quiet but I was told before the CC Cup Final last year off-the-record last year how many it was and it was surprisingly high. I guessed at 18,000 and I'm pretty sure I was told it was actually 24,000.
