League Cup Final - Post Match Thread

I read a stat that Aubameyang had eight touches in the second half. Eight. And 2 of those were from kick offs. Surely not.
Dominant from city all round. Love this club!

Great day. My 9 year old son attended his first final yesterday and he loved it. I even let him buy a half and half scarf on our way out of the ground!. Nice stay in the premier inn watford. Just going over woodhead on our way home. Will rematch the game this afternoon with my son. Tradition!

Have you seen Neville's commentary on SSN?

He was absolutely tearing Arsenal apart. Said they're "an absolute disgrace" and the like.

I watched the game back when I got home last night (one of the benefits of being able to drive home from there in under an hour) and it was one of the most savage commentaries I've heard.

Which goal was Wenger on about when he moaned that one of ‘em was “clearly offside” post match?

If it was Sergio’s opener, unless the rules have recently changed, I didn’t think a player who picked up the ball directly from his own ‘keepers kick and ran on to score, (without any intervention whatsoever from an opposing player), could possibly be flagged offside

The veterans came to the rescue. The OGs, the ones that have been there for it all. Now for the youth to stomp that arsenal shit pike Thursday. COYC!!!!

Yeah I remember 1974.
City can always make you cry - even very recently (Monday). It's character building. Get Over it.
Read the Poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling for details.

74 was my first visit to Wembley and I've not missed one since. '76 was obviously the second and so I will always have a soft spot for this competition. I would not be pained if the competition was retired but I love winning it.

Half and half scarf! Have social services been altered?

Seriously though, I've taken one of my daughters to the last two finals, cos Our Kid couldn't go, and it is something rather special. She's just 17 but only got interested in going to games relatively recently. Such days are really priceless.

All my pre Wembley rituals were in place;

1) Hornsea for fish and chips the night before
2) Mars milkshakes bought for the journey but “forgotten” and left in the fridge
3) “Accidentally” stepped in horseshit on the way to the ground.

No need to thank me people. Just glad you all enjoyed it.
