League Cup Final - Post Match Thread

Yes, I was worried when Ferna had to go off but we were actually more dominant after and scored twice. I can't argue that our greater dominance was a direct result though!
That was because DeBruyne got more involved in the middle after Bernardo took over on the wing in my opinion.

Good to see that the team had only to do enough to win the game, without over having to do to much. Arsenal were poor or were we that good, that we would not let them settle on the ball. Good to see the ref Pawson not letting Arsenal players getting away with their little dives and other cheats to try and win free kicks. Still think he should have given Jack Wiltshire a yellow card for arguing, and then a another yellow for diving which means he would have had to have given him a red.

The more I watch that goal the angrier I get at Mustafi. What an absolute disgrace of a failure that was. No sympath, if i was wenger I’d drop him.

Although I’m very happy he did what he did because it set us on our way, but Jesus Christ, could you imagine if stones did that?

Merson was on Talkshite yesterday morning and inbetween his sobs he said that if that had been an Arsenal vs City under 10's and the centre half had made that mistake he'd have been released and told he's no defensive awareness

Agree.waited only 5mins,1st tube.got connection tube straight away, then 10mins wait for my train.Fking Spot on as our Posh Lasses would say...

I've spent years avoiding the tube back, booking hotels and the like, assuming it would be hours. Like you, I thought it was well impressive. Basically they slow you right down as you walk down Wembley Way so by the time you reach the station you can get straight on. I assumed as all the Arsenal fans had left that it would be a nightmare but it took maybe 25 minutes from leaving the stadium to getting on a tube.

Certainly makes a difference having 3 tube/train stations within a 10 minute walk of the stadium with dozens of trains when you compare it to the single tram staton that we've got where they don't even put on double trams.

Roughly about the same time DD,3tube lines/platforms all going the same direction, cannot fault the planning.put stayed behind for a pint, but agree if the Arsenal fans would of stayed it might off been abit different,Beat 1 tram at home any day..

This exactly, whilst KDB did not have his best game moving back helped him and the team, we were on the front foot anyway but we managed to start passing it around better. That was not because Ferna was playing badly but bringing Bernardo on and playing him on left balanced the team to normal system.

Has anyone asked Wenger why, if sane was interfering with the keeper, why his keeper dived out of the way then?
