How on earth does that happen? A manager makes a choice chooses who comes off sub is made? If not the case every game a.player will be saying nah I ain't coming off, it rubbish mate if a manager makes a change he informs 4th official, number held up and player has to come off

Under the Laws, the referee has no specific power to force a player to be substituted, even if the team manager or captain has ordered their player to be substituted. If a player refuses to be substituted play may simply resume with that player on the field. However, in some situations players may still be liable to punishment with a caution (yellow card) for time wasting or unsporting behaviour.

I know v odd. That’s what he seemed to do before kick off, we were quite near the front. Not noticed him doing it before today. Still if it works, they can all do it!Weird stuff he does .
