Was only watching the highlights this morning , didnt make the original game because we could only get one ticket and we needed three(it used to be difficult to get League Cup Final tickets:) , so ended up watching on the telly , what a great day , the highlights i watched earlier brought back some nice memories. Dennis's overhead kick has gone down in folklore ,and when you talk about our greatest players Tueart is up there with the best of them.

Was it actually on TV? I was young and my recollection was it was a 330 kick off on a Saturday and when Grandstand finished they said they would bring us the final score later. I think Doctor Who was on and I sat through Doctor Who just waiting for the final score. I know (now) it was on the radio but I didn't know then (I was a young kid). If you are telling me it was live on TV I am really pissed off now as unless my memory is playing complete tricks I had no idea I had the wrong channel on and my United supporting Dad never told me!

Hi Mike, I think we spoke about this years ago, this was my first trip to Wembley, was going to go in 74 with my Dad but he fell ill before the game. Happy memories, how you doing mucked ?

Think it was on tv. And I missed it.
I was 10 at the time and was out playing football. And at that age you soon lose track of the time.
I remember going home and being told we had won and being asked if I had watched the game.

It was on ITV as highlights the next day, no reports of it ever being on live or the day of the game.

Your right , listened on the radio and watched the goals / highlights later , think it was Radio manchester and ITV for the highlights
