league cup semi final

Both the SF and the rags match are live on terrestrial telly so if people are picking and choosing one on financial grounds it's not surprising that the derby is likely to win out, although personally I think the SF is by far the more important match for the club.

I agree that the SF is by far more important for the club. The chance of taking a giant step in reaching another Wembley final is of higher importance than a third round game against United.

Not sure if it will sell out but agree that people will leave it to the last minute

-- Tue Dec 20, 2011 6:17 pm --

I am not paying £65 for me and the lad 5 days before xmas and before I get paid.

I might still decide to go but I am still not sure as I think its too expensive. Arsenal charged us a tenner one round ago. Is a semi final really £30 bigger than a quarter final?

Of the 10 lads I know who go only 2 are definately going.

same situation with me I normally go with my mates, none of them are prepared to pay this, especially so close to christmas, why didnt city charge a ten quid, wed be gauranteed a full house ? its only one game were we could do with the fans

Because it's £35 and a semi.

As I say, we sold out two years ago when we never really had sell outs and it was £5 more expensive.

because it was united and the first chance to get to the cup, I love all the cup competitions and want us to win all of them, but am not prepared to pays those prices

Sounds like we might need some tourists for this like at our CL games. :P

Football is an expensive hobby but removing factors like Christmas, I think £35 for a cup semi final is a fair price. One step away from Wembley again. I don't think as many would be unhappy if it was February or March.

just looked at the planner, not many sold, have they overpriced this one.

surely a trip to wembley should get a full house.
Yes they have absolutely took the fucking piss with the prices. £37.50(home)and £41(away) just before Christmas(tickets) and just after Christmas+NY(spending money for them). The FA, City and Liverpool are being really stupid over this. I've paid it but now that will mean I won't be going to one of either Wigan or Everton because of the prices of these two games will not make me able to afford to and I'm unhappy about that as I wanted to go to both. £25 home and away would have been much fairer.

I'm already missing Sunderland away because Sky moved it when I'd already bought tickets for the last ever Warehouse Project at Piccadilly Train Station on NYday. Why can't things be simple, left as they are date-wise and priced with a bit of common sense?

its £35 in south stand level 1 (Surely mostly filled by scousers) and in the Family stand which I cant go in. If I want to sit where I normally sit then its £40 for me and £25 for a 17 year old who earns zero money so its £65 for me!

I've got no time off for Christmas at work because I've used it all up to watch City. Taking more time off for Liverpool twice and Porto will result in the same thing so something somewhere has to left out and that's Liverpool in the Carling Cup. It's also on BBC! I'll be at the league match because I've already paid for it.
