Because it's £35 and a semi.

As I say, we sold out two years ago when we never really had sell outs and it was £5 more expensive.

its £35 in south stand level 1 (Surely mostly filled by scousers) and in the Family stand which I cant go in. If I want to sit where I normally sit then its £40 for me and £25 for a 17 year old who earns zero money so its £65 for me!
Did you go an take your lad 2 years ago?

I used to pay for my own tickets from age 15 by working as my dad thought it only right that I paid my own way. Maybe encourage your lad to get a job.

It aint that easy anymore is it! Yes two years ago it was a fiver for him as he was 15! We only sold out 2 years ago the day before the game and it was our first semi final for 28 years against our most hated rivals.

Sounds a bit harsh but maybe one to say sorry and leave your kids/spouses (women at football? ;-) ) etc to watch it on telly. I've decided I can't afford the away leg, so aint going, but hopefully we'll have it in the bag by then.

-- Tue Dec 20, 2011 9:43 pm --

Or offer to get refunds on any pressies you may have bought them and pay for it out of that, then it's their choice!

it's a semi final and people are fucking moaning!!!
it's near christmas
i can't have my seat
it's too much
they should let us in for free to have a better atmosphere

perhaps you'd be happier if we got knocked out in the quarter finals like we did NINE times on the trot
or perhaps get knocked out in the second round by brighton, doncaster or chesterfield

Totally agree.

We want success and being successful means more games and more cost for the supporter.
Just because our owner is worth a few bob does not mean we can expect to pay £5 to £25 to watch games when our competitors are charging £40 to £50 for the same type of fixture.
I know I'll attract some flak saying this, but what the hell. It will be embarrassing if we fail to sell out the semi-final, even more so if the Anfield leg is a sell out.

I read an article linked on here recently about our meeting the FFPR which was well received on here. Two areas mentioned were increasing gate revenues to close the gap to our main PL competitors and attracting more commercial sponsorship. Failing to sell out a semi final will not help achieve either of these objectives.

A tip for those who have to pay for their children's ticket, use Christmas to your advantage and encourage your family members to give your children money as towards the cost of the semi final ticket.

Back the Sheikh and buy your ticket!

Managed it two years ago.

only just, 100 quid for one game is just ridiculous for any game, footbalss meant to be for the working fan, but clearly not for this game
Depends how many you want to take. It could cost me £120 if I chose to take my mrs and someone else but I won't.

it can't be right for it to cost £100 for me to go with my wife and 16 year old daughter?

Well, even though I'm already bored shitless with our unbridled levels of success over these past 12 months, I dare say I'll scrape up enough for me and the lad to get to the game.

I'm daft like that.

It isnt right but when you have people supporting prices of £40 plus for a game of football then it will never change. If it sells out then great but there will be many regulars who dont bother. One of the lads I go with earns £200 per week in his hand and has to feed his family etc on that. £40 for him is a shit load of money and he hasnt been able to go to cup matches for years

Still I suppose Its not the end of the world if we become like the rags and fill the place with tourists every game........Is It?

It isnt cheap but fook me its not like we have been doing it for a long time , lets push the boat out a bit maybe give the kids beans on toast for a while or walk instead of driving or go to a cheaper pub , whatever it takes but back the boys up cause you never know-- good times dont last forever - enjoy it whilst its here i say !

No it would be the end of the world to go back to playing 40 games a season and going out in the first round.
