Also forget to mention Oxford won 2-7 at Gillingham today whch included 4 (FOUR) as the videprinter used to say penalties
Fair to say your season will be made or broken in February? You appear to have an astonishing 8 League games in 26 days, and in that run host the two top teams in the space of five days. You’ll obviously need everyone fit and playing well to have a productive month. Good luck.Hard fought win 1-0 over inform Ipswich Town today, I thought they looked pretty tidy and probably the best team I've seen at Hillsborough (I missed the Sunderland game due to work)
In saying that they didn't have a shot on target all game and despite us having only around 40% possession we could and should have won more convincingly.
We've brought in Harlee Dean (Birmingham) & Jordan Storey (PNE) recently due to having all our CB's crocked and they really made a difference today. It is Groundhog Day but we need to put a run together if we have a hope of the playoffs, 6 points behind but 2 games in hand on some teams.
Elsewhere (and as discussed in the Sunderland thread) a bad day at the office for the Mackems, they do tend to be Jekyll & Hyde at times and when they lose they lose. Wigan suprisingly dropped points at Cheltenham, and Rotherham march on.
MK Dons won 0-1 @ Wycombe and go above them in the table, like I've said before could be real dark horse in the playoffs.
Fair play to Ipswich who brought around 3000 today, and helped us have the biggest attendance in the EFL (23,517)
Morecambe at home up next on Tuesday night.
Good to see you win again and to see Ipshit lose - bwahaha - now who's the weakest link, eh. Not that I'm bitter or owt...Hard fought win 1-0 over inform Ipswich Town today, I thought they looked pretty tidy and probably the best team I've seen at Hillsborough (I missed the Sunderland game due to work)

That’s still 20 000+ home supporters in the third tier. Very creditable.Hard fought win 1-0 over inform Ipswich Town today, I thought they looked pretty tidy and probably the best team I've seen at Hillsborough (I missed the Sunderland game due to work)

Yep I agree, we have been decent of late at home, and already won at Rotherham & Wigan, but I can't see anybody but these 2 going up at the end of the season.Fair to say your season will be made or broken in February? Hope Wednesday and Sunderland can get their act together but it's looking like Rotherham and Wigan as others have said. Admire Paul Warne but Wigan can do one.
He is. I'm sure he could keep a team with a bigger budget like Preston competitive but who knows what he'd be like with top money. What I like about Rotherham us they remain grounded and only spend what they can afford and Warne gets every last drop out of them. It's not that long ago that they were playing at Don Valley.Yep I agree, we have been decent of late at home, and already won at Rotherham & Wigan, but I can't see anybody but these 2 going up at the end of the season.
We've dropped points against Shrewsbury, Morecambe, Lincoln, Gillingham, Wimbledon & Cheltenham who are all in the bottom places of the table where as the teams in the hunt play them and do the business.
Also 2 of our better players Massimo Luongo & Josh Windass have missed a lot of the season and only contributed in 8 & 6 League games respectively.
Paul Warne is a really good manager at this level, if he has finances of some other teams when they are in the Championship he would easily keep them up. Unfortunately they don't and they've become a CH/LG1 yo-yo team.
Yes, you seem to have plateaued between 9th and 7th spot since that Oxford defeat back in October, and you’re now averaging 1.59 points per game. Clearly, with 2.08 at home but only 1.20 on the road, you’re just not converting enough of those away draws into wins. You had a purple patch early on with three consecutive victories, but since then you’ve only managed two back-to-back victories, so it probably feels a bit of a stop-start season. Anyway, with 10 games left at home and 8 away, there’s a chance yet you could catch Oxford.Yep I agree, we have been decent of late at home, and already won at Rotherham & Wigan, but I can't see anybody but these 2 going up at the end of the season.

I thought Bolton looked good when I saw them at your place but they seemed to just go badly off the boil after that game until the last few weeks ........... said all along that it will be Rotherham and Wigan will do it the rest are just all over the place ......... you think the likes of Sunderland and Wednesday will go on big decent runs but they will throw a bad performance in when it’s not expected ..............still least you lot got a win ......... we pulled in over 14k with 128 away fans and yet again our crap negative manager decided to revert to his boring negative tactics at 1-0 up and yet again we get beat because he simply gives teams the go ahead to attack us :(Out of everybody I've seen this season if we did manage to string several wins together I'd be more confident of catching Wycombe, as they have impressed me the least out of the top teams. I thought MK Dons, Oxford & Plymouth were far better.
Always look for your results as a couple of m8's are City fans.I thought Bolton looked good when I saw them at your place but they seemed to just go badly off the boil after that game until the last few weeks ........... said all along that it will be Rotherham and Wigan will do it the rest are just all over the place ......... you think the likes of Sunderland and Wednesday will go on big decent runs but they will throw a bad performance in when it’s not expected ..............still least you lot got a win ......... we pulled in over 14k with 128 away fans and yet again our crap negative manager decided to revert to his boring negative tactics at 1-0 up and yet again we get beat because he simply gives teams the go ahead to attack us :(
