League title or Champions League?

Well put.

The CL is a nice trophy to win but can't really call it a competition for champions when on a given day with luck or refereeing or the away goals rule even the most deserved team loses out. If the Champions league is an actual alternate league then it would be a better measure of champions. shrink it down to 2-3 teams per league and use a league table format of 16 teams. then it becomes more prestigious because it's harder to get in in the first place, and that to be champion you have to rise above all other champions, not by virtue of balls in a bowl.

That would be a great idea. Little is made of the 'champion' bit of Champions League, but I feel that EUCB (formerly known as Uefa) want certain outcomes, and the format you suggest would take away the element of 'massage' which serves them so well. Why did we get Lahoz for the second leg?

100% retain the league - champions league is a lottery - only 1 of the 4 semi-finalists is the best team in their league this season (Bayern Munich)

Liverpool 17 points behind leaders
Madrid 18 points behind
Roma 23 points behind

Liverpool haven’t been champions of their own country for 28 years

Champions League hands down.

The club has never won it (former European cup).

In 2011/2012 it was all about winning the league, now it’s about being Champions of Europe.

As others have said, it’s bent so we’ve got fat chance though.

The thing is we hadn’t won the league for four years so our worth in the competition was getting less and less, you have to win your league recently to be considered seriously in the CL in my opinion.

If I were offered the choice each year it'd be the Premier League, the CL would be a nice addition,
but never trumps the PL.

Premier League for me, every time, it's great to prove we are the best team in the country over a season. The Champions League will happen but we must be a patient as it's against the best teams in Europe and you need a bit of luck, knock-out football etc.

Personally as an order of preference:-

Premier League
Champions League
FA Cup
League Cup

That said the Champions League, so we are led to believe, is the most important for HRH so we could do with at least getting to the final in the next couple of years.

Personally prefer PL but the CL is a monkey on our back, one that's turned into a chimpanzee this season. The sooner we win it the better.

What sort of pitch would persuade top players to join us in Summer?

Pitch 1. We think CL is corrupt and our priority is to win all of our domestic competitions, or

Pitch 2. We have established Man City in England and want you to help us to take the next step, winning the CL.
