LeagueCup SF - Man Utd - away allocation of only 3000 (p30)

IMO, It’s not an own goal by the club. It’s an own goal by those in our support, who think it appropriate to throw shit at players on the pitch, that made it almost inevitable that steps would be taken to reduce a repeat of such ridiculous childish behaviour.
Maybe a couple of dozen pissed up arsewipes amongst our support have spoilt a great day out for 6,000 other of our supporters and there’s nowhere else for the blame to reside.

Ignores the fact that the issues were in the home areas, just as they have been at previous derbies over the past decade (Bellamy getting whacked with a bottle at theirs, and Ferdinand et al being pelted with coins at ours), so why not ban all home fans from both fixtures and just allow away fans in, instead of punishing the away support?

Away criteria up on the website now. The prices are cheaper than expected - £28/£29/£35 for adults - but that's probably because neither club is confident of selling out the home areas - and would expect home tickets to be priced similarly as surely City have agreed to charge United fans around the same as those prices for us at theirs. It doesn't alter the fact that both sets of fans have been stitched up on the allocation though!

Thanks Simon. I agree it’s still a puss take.

I am happy that the prices are lower than people expected, as a guide for the prices for the 2nd leg. I am not sure on how City have done the criteria. I wouldn’t feel confident of getting a ticket on less than 19k (maybe 20k) points

It will be annoying if they give us 3000 and we give them 3000.

It has been a bad season for racism in the English game.
So maybe the clubs just decided it wasn't worth the hassle of more away fans.

This agreement was made because neither club gives much of a toss about their core support, so much so that we couldn't even be arsed consulting with fan groups prior to making the decision, and to top it all off we decided to make the announcement on Christmas Eve as we thought it would be a "good day to bury bad news"

*laughing out loud*....................... thank you M18CTID I know that, even though I won't go that place, I am annoyed for the people who never get a chance to go there and won't get one this time either. I've spoken to quite a few fans who were looking forward to hopefully be able to go to this one.Very angry for them.

Cheers, at least they're not getting a higher percentage than us I guess.
