Learning Spanish

I must say, I love your Brit's attitude in wanting to learn a new language. I'm American but I'm also Hispanic so Spanish is a natural second language to me.

Most Americans have a scornful attitude towards learning ANY other language which pisses me off to no end. There's even a joke about it here amongst the Hispanic community:

What do you call a person who speaks three languages? Trilingual.
What do you call a person who speaks two languages? Bilingual.
What do you call a person who speaks one language?

American.
