Its the dark fear we all dont want to face.

But I do believe that eventually it will become a reality. We all mocked Chelsea when their money didnt produce success but they kept at it and finally joined the World's elite. Man City are undergoing a huge transformation as a club and have clearly become a threat to the established sides in this league. They have a very good chance of making a Champions League spot this season, which will be the first stage of success for them.

The cumulative outcome of their financial backing and growing status will ensure they are able to attract ambitious and talented players. Chelsea are their role model and have proved that buying success is quite possible providing the conditions are right. Surely its only a matter of time until they find a winning formula.
