It surprised me when you considered what the pitches were like 33 years ago. Throw a bit of sand in the middle of the pitch…..
He’s done a tremendous job, best wishes for the future.
I think you’re thinking 33 years was a bit further back than it was.
Pitches in the 70s were typically shit but by the 90s they were generally very good. At the top end at least.
So he's off to plough a new furrow somewhere else then.
Seems a strange doings tbh 33 years of perfect pitches bar the once too long for the scouse wankers.
If he was retiring then nothing would be said but the open to offers line hints at something else.
Shame if he has been forced out, always been a top pitch.

I remember Lee used to go to my old school at Trinity and he's a top Blue.
Hopefully he doesn't follow David, who was in charge before him.
He thought the grass was greener elsewhere and moved to Millwall as Head Groundsman.
He got into trouble I think with terrorist officers at one stage for sending pics of stadium to Pakistan?
