Cancel the coronation, just sign a bit of paper and hey presto, we have a king. Saves about 100million in tax payers money.

I imagine the TV companies will be using that as leverage for lobbying for abolishing it altogether the next time negotiators are due.

The blackout is to protect PL and EFL games being played live at the same time. - There are no PL or EFL games scheduled for coronation day as they've all been moved.This will be the third City game in just over a year that has been allowed to be broadcast during the football blackout period. As it happens the EFL are looking to end the blackout so more games canbe broadcast, but that won't happen until 2024-25 season.
