Leeds (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Rotund Samuel is indeed a genius.
His plan was to lose about 2-0 and in the end they managed a 2-1 defeat which isn't as big a hit to their GD as they expected at three o'clock.
That's a narrower margin of defeat than Klopp, Arteta, Ten Bob and many others.

Should probably never have been that close but we should also remember were not gonna turn over every team without a challenge, its the Premier league and we were up against a side fighting to stay up.

Very happy whichever way we get the 3 points at the moment.

Pretty much a free hit for Leeds today so all credit to our lads for coming away with the 3 points.

Although I'm sure we had at least a couple of extra gears if we'd needed them, unfortunately I'm now officially shitting bricks until the end of the season.

Pep was fuming. As was I.

Last 5 was much more stressful than necessary!

Bossed first half though.

Pep will have bollocked them. Especially Erling and Gundo.

Leeds were awful and thats before BFS gets to properly influence their "style" of play. Even with half the team surrounding Haaland he still had decent chances which could have / should have improved the scoreline. They were flattered by 2-1.

We were never really out of 2nd gear which combined with an unfamiliar team selection made for a nervy game and a terrible 2nd half.

I hope Ake isn't anything serious and I loved seeing Gundo score twice. We have to keep him into next season. The penalty incident was well intentioned but naive.

My personal highlight came late in the 2nd half when we were running down the clock. A change in usual seats meant we were right behind the dugouts, the perfect spot to admire Rodri charging back to the bench, ripping off his training top ready to throw on his match shirt and be subbed on. The sight very much made this middle aged woman's day!

Nothing much wrong with us. Leeds were an atrocity, worst opposition all season. No fight, no tactics, just a decent strike for the goal when the ball ran for them after a punt downfield.

I'm on train Vic to Bradford and the feral Leeds fans (better than their team deserve to be fair) behaving like they won.
If they’re deluded enough to think that performance bodes well for their next three games, they’ve got a world of hurt coming…
