Just thinking the same thing. I know the club will argue that fans were consulted but even so, how did a designer ever think that would go down well, how did the people who commissioned it not tell the designer that it is a load of shit? How many people have to not have a fucking clue for something like that to actually be unveiled publicly?

The designer doesn't just come up with an idea and present it to the club.

The club tells the designer what they want and then it's the designers job to create something that works.

Unfortunately that particular idea was never going to work.
