Leeds United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I agree i would not want to see any player suffer health complications as a result of dehydration. However, this break situation sets a precedent for further interrupting of the game I fear. What comes next? A 10 minute break whilst someone has a quick prayer? A 5 minute break whilst someone makes a confession?

That fat slug Shamoon only 2 questions to Pep yesterday were about players breaking their fast. Keep religion and politics out of football.
It’s about health related to religious observance, not religious observance.

As it's squeaky bum time the win is all that matters. We could have played better and dropped points, but it was a painful watch. Apart from the last 15 in the 1st half and some decent possession around 60 mins we were really poor in attack and midfield. They seemed to have tons more energy than us and won far more 50 50s. Our back four were the stars today, however unless we find another couple of levels we ain't winning the PL or CL....

Didn’t like the formation
Wasn’t overly keen on the performance
Loved the 3 points.

Ait & Bernie excellent.

Barely again. What happened to us being convincing? Imagine Chelsea away with this kind of football.
I don't understand why we let the opposition have a barrage of attacks in the last 10 minutes of every game.
City going for the title ahead of schedule has warped perceptions of where this team actually is imo. This isn't the team that got 100, 98, 93 points and won domestic trebles and European Cups etc. It's a new team. Last year it was a broken team and we're still recovering from that. We should be nowhere near a title race, Arsenal should be comfortably ahead and we should be looking ahead to next season, but instead we're here. We shouldn't be comparing this lot to our previous title-winning teams. We have to win games in different ways right now while Pep works out how to get these players running like clockwork. Leeds were unbeaten under the lights at Elland Road this season until 7.30pm today - we've got a big win and dug in hard. It looks different, it's got problems, but it's getting there.

Behave, they missed 3 big chances in the first 25 minutes.
I believe my eyes not some pointless stats.
And in the second half, when we were defending the lead (which is the relevant point)? I'm trying to remember them having an effort on target. And I'm struggling. The official stats say that they had two efforts on target, and I'm pretty sure they were both in the first half.

The current team is miles off where we have been, but very young and inexperienced. Not technically as good either. But 2nd and in all the comps in march. Bravo pep and the lads

Religious observance doesn't seem to come into the equation when the Pakistani cricket team play during Ramadan as the players take on water and food during the days play. Why should football be any different?

I don’t want your sob story ;-)

Nearly finished me off that game and I’m only 33
You’re a mere babe in arms. I’ll be 85 in two months time if this team’s antics don’t scare me to death beforehand!!
You need to live through the ups and downs we FOCs have endured laddie/lassie! *lol*

But I do take your point and apologise for putting you through that. :-)

Fuck knows what to post.
Shite first half, great second half. We controlled the game 2nd half.

Love O'Reilly, hope it's not anything that keeps him out of the Forest match
