Are we now willing to stop blaming everything on the defence and accept we’ve been utterly woeful upfront on a regular basis for about a year since we switched permanently to the static inverted wingers tactic?
That was probably one player short of our strongest 11. there can be no excuses for that. We simply don’t have enough tactical flexibility in our game. We only have one way of playing which has become a lot easier to play against and when it’s not working we look completely clueless.
Only so much blame you can attach to players, when they’re doing the same every week it’s clearly a tactical problem. Somebody in his back room staff needs to be questioning Pep because he’s more to blame here than any player.
Not good enough. The most scathing thing I can say is I’m not missing going to the match right now.
