If we manage to finish any better than 4th we will have done well with this squadLike I said before the first game, I'll be happy with top three this season. We're simply nowhere near as good as we were a few seasons ago. Not sure Pep and his assistants have it in them to return us to that kind of form.

Blaming the squad would be a pretty weak move. It's still arguably the best in the league but we're not getting the best out of the players.

Bit of a weird feeling after that draw. I think last season we'd have caved in to the pressure and lost it, but we had chances aplenty to pull away too at one nil. I think in part that is because of the two decisions towards the end of the game leavings sour taste. Is handball a penalty or not now, because it certain did hit the Leeds players arm and we've seen them given, even against us, for that. Then that shocker from Dallas, a pure red all day long, no VAR review and lucky there was no injury.
Let's take the positives, Bernardo is back and up until the booking Mendy looked ok, in fact the two past games he's looked like he's woken up to the fact that he could be on the way out. I'd still play Ake or Cancelo there though. Dias looks competent, we may just have two solid central defenders again!
Add Aguero back into the mix and we'd have probably won too, Leeds will give a few teams trouble and undoubtedly raised their game against us.
Long way to go, will be a stupidly daft season anyway. True that champions win games like that and I don't think we will win it ultimately, but we're certainly still good enough for top 4. We have the experience, just need one win to start a run and we'll be chugging along nicely. I know it looks dark now, Everton are on fire and there are others winning well too, but take out James, Calvert Lewin, or at Arsenal Aubameyang, and even today it seems Liverpool will be without Mane and Salah, then it's going to be a topsy turvy messed up season.
Now for a completely pointless international break. Such a shame England aren't playing Greece away...

Kevin is class it's just quality in front of him which is the problem.Can't expect kevin to do everything from linking play from defense to midfield and then assisting and scoring goals.Kevin could easily made at least 2 assists yesterday.On current form even KDB would struggle to get in the scousers team and no one else would for sure.

Southampton, Chelsea away, Arsenal in cup, Lyon, Leicester, yesterday - all without Aguero. Some of the chances we’ve missed in these games. Don’t care how good you are, hardest thing is putting the ball in the net. He’s a fucking huge loss.

Frustration I think comes from his ambition.Kevin knows his own quality,he is in his prime years and obviously wants compete at the highest level.Just look at what messi does at barca, and not just this season. The quality of transfer signings especially upfront hardly inspire confidence that we can compete at the highest level this season.

You can't see everything on TV but twice I was shouting "where is everybody?". One was when Leeds were attacking and it wasn't a breakaway but they had four on four in our penalty area and no other defender in shot. The other was Walker bombing forward and the screen showed him and 7 Leeds defenders, and that wasn't the only time when the player with the ball didn't have a single option let alone multiple options.
