I'd be happy to watch his highlights from yesterday if you have any?Same with those who say the same about Grealish.

Honestly? Before the game, I actually had hopes that the Geordies might grab a draw. But during the game, and certainly once they went behind, they never really looked like they'd get anything. Liverpool played well within their capabilities, and if the Toon did equalise, the scousers would have raised their game a notch and get another goal or two.I started the day watching Newcastle v Liverpool and Newcastle could very easy have got a point from them. Liverpool looked a bit ragged at times and it's another game they sneaked through.
If you were looking at the results from City and Liverpool recently, you'd say City have found some extra form. We are scoring a lot of goals just at the right time. Although I don't think it will come down to GD, it's a psychological boost for whoever has the advantage. I think we will overtake them soon.
As for the game, we played well overall. I wondered how Leeds could be in danger of relegation if that's how they play every week. Of course, the referee was an absolute disgrace and it was down to him why Dallas got stretchered off after that assault on Grealish. Grealish had no protection in the game and did well to keep his cool.
I had Sterling as MOTM. He was superb and shown his pace, movement, quick feet, tackling and general energy. They couldn't live with him at all and I hope it's given him a boost. Of course, we all know he should've scored but I accept it will never change with him!
Foden and Rodri were superb as well. Rodri is absolute class and it would be front page news if he misplaced a pass. Foden set up the goals and you can't ask for more than that.
Cancelo gave everyone full sight of his game. Some amazing runs and passes yet a defensive liability. He needs to be in midfield and I can't wait for Walker to come back. Walker wouldn't have slipped, simple as that.
Overall a good day for us and Newcastle next which won't be easy. However, I'd rather play them than Spurs and I can see Spurs getting something. Spurs have a lot to play for as well.
Cancelo has been one of best performing players since the start of the season. Why do we always have to have a player that some “fans” have to make the boo boy. If it wasn’t for him yesterday we wouldn’t have kept a clean sheet.
I know, that's why I didn't question it. I hope for a great second seasonAnyone who dared question at the time why we signed him, got hounded down on here....
Tierney bottled it because he knew Dallas was badly injured. Pathetic but trueEntirely self-inflicted: his challenge on Jack was very poor and how it wasn't a second yellow and therefore a sending off as well as a stretchering-off only the Ref knows.
You know what
Nail on head.Tierney bottled it because he knew Dallas was badly injured. Pathetic but true
I didn't question I just said I will give him one season and then make a judgement as I do all new players.I know, that's why I didn't question it. I hope for a great second season
A second yellow? He never got a first yellow card.Entirely self-inflicted: his challenge on Jack was very poor and how it wasn't a second yellow and therefore a sending off as well as a stretchering-off only the Ref knows.
Deep down they all know what's coming in future seasons, with Pep staying, Haaland and Alvarez coming in, Foden getting better and better, our academy dominating and providing top players, and they all are absolutely shitting it!I’ve never been too worried on that score, pal… the fact we are 2 goals off the greatest attacking team of all time (with no recognised striker), and conceded one less, measured upon the god like defence marshalled by van dyckhead, kind of tells us all we need to know, a media driven agenda perpetuated by subscription l…..
yes the dippers are a great team but just look at the clamouring for a clean sweep by the same people who vilified our attempts (plural), we’ve been close on 2 previous occasions!
Great post and I agree with all your comments. I am sure that the players find it difficult at times, but they are fully focused on what they need to do. When the players celebrated after one of the goals yesterday, Dias joined the celebration and shouted “yes, come on, we can be champions“. That to me showed the belief they have. Some on here need to have a LOT more faith. Getting a bit bored of people saying we were nervous during the last few matches. Looking back over the month I've seen Liverpool scrape past Watford 2-0 at home, one of which was a last minute penalty. Then they drew with us in a match where we were the better team, then drew 3-3 at home to Benfica, then only just put our patched up team out of the FA Cup. Then an unconvincing 2-0 win against a very poor Everton side, a similar performance where they huffed and puffed against Villareal and then just got past Newcastle today by the one goal. The only side they thrashed was the 4-0 win against the rags, but this is the worst rags side I can remember so that's no real achievement. And even then they didn't look particularly convincing.
Meantime we started with the 2-0 win at Burnley, then the two games vs Liverpool in between two tough matches against Atletico, after which we put 3 past Brighton, 5 past Watford, 4 past Real and another 4 past Leeds today and in virtually every match it could and should easily have been more.
My point is the scousers have looked nervy to me, while we've been scoring for fun again especially in the past couple of weeks, even without our best XI. Don't get me wrong, I feel it too and I'm sure these run ins must be some form of torture. But although the fans are edgy I don't think the team are at all. Liverpool on the other hand don't look convincing at all to me, just lucky they've not come up against better opposition for the run in.
I don't record any player's highlights to be honest.I'd be happy to watch his highlights from yesterday if you have any?
Sorry if ready mentioned, the Leeds player who hurt himself in the tackle has broken his femur according to ssn
The amazing thing was Tierney seemed to forget to book himI’d never wish injury on a player, but it’s hard to have too much sympathy as it was largely self-inflicted. Tierney is culpable too for allowing him to repeatedly foul Grealish with impunity.
