Leeds United (A) | Post Match Thread

Great result, well done the team and well done the away fans - great noise throughout.
What a fantastic clearance by LaPorte which led to his injury, pleased he seemed ok but one of those occasions where I think he should have been subbed for proper assessment - so many bang on about player welfare then simply disregard it in these circumstances. Great cross and header for the first, pleased for Gabby to get another to certainly put it to bed. Awful ref allowed them to kick us with impunity at every opportunity, I think that'll be the mandated template for the rest of the season.
Just watched motd, where the summarisers looked at City defence (from a positive aspect) and Leeds' missed opportunities, didn't comment on or even show all our goals, wtf!!
Agree with laporte but I think he would have been forced to miss Madrid with the concussion rules so I'm glad he soldiered on!

Another tricky game superbly navigated through, next.
Cancelo's form is a real worry though, I counted about 5 times he needlessly gave the ball away last night plus he hasn't been in great form in some recent games.
The question is why?, he has done this before, last season he ended up in woeful form during the run in.
Is it nonsense to suggest his defending is questionable at best or is he just in a bad patch of form?

Game not so much ??
A 4-0 win away at Leeds with a Ref who shouldve worn a white shirt.
I thought we were excellent and so proud of every player.
Just wish Raheem didnt always freeze when he has a goal chance.
Good game by Grealish too.

Fucking brilliant result !!

I just think sterling has never been a striker full stop. We should just accept he’s a winger

I started the day watching Newcastle v Liverpool and Newcastle could very easy have got a point from them. Liverpool looked a bit ragged at times and it's another game they sneaked through.

If you were looking at the results from City and Liverpool recently, you'd say City have found some extra form. We are scoring a lot of goals just at the right time. Although I don't think it will come down to GD, it's a psychological boost for whoever has the advantage. I think we will overtake them soon.

As for the game, we played well overall. I wondered how Leeds could be in danger of relegation if that's how they play every week. Of course, the referee was an absolute disgrace and it was down to him why Dallas got stretchered off after that assault on Grealish. Grealish had no protection in the game and did well to keep his cool.

I had Sterling as MOTM. He was superb and shown his pace, movement, quick feet, tackling and general energy. They couldn't live with him at all and I hope it's given him a boost. Of course, we all know he should've scored but I accept it will never change with him!

Foden and Rodri were superb as well. Rodri is absolute class and it would be front page news if he misplaced a pass. Foden set up the goals and you can't ask for more than that.

Cancelo gave everyone full sight of his game. Some amazing runs and passes yet a defensive liability. He needs to be in midfield and I can't wait for Walker to come back. Walker wouldn't have slipped, simple as that.

Overall a good day for us and Newcastle next which won't be easy. However, I'd rather play them than Spurs and I can see Spurs getting something. Spurs have a lot to play for as well.

I think Jeremy Kyle will be a better cheerleader than a manager for them, some of the American bullshit he came out with before and after the match,he has his work cut out there, make no mistake, possibly in the Championship if Everton can provide a miracle or two.

They had chances, yes, absolutely woeful at Palace last Monday, knew they would try their bollocks off, like all do v us,but there could of been no complaints from them if we'd had scored 6 or 7

They also threw stuff at their own player when he was trying to take a Leeds corner. He was extremely pissed off.

The trouble is that they gave these idiots pieces of paper and nothing else. If they'd given them a set of crayons to go with it then there wouldn't have been a problem.
They could even have given them a 'dot to dot' book to entertain them when they got a bit bored! Come to think of it most of them would have probably struggled when it got into double figures!

We were lucky. The first goal wasn't a free kick, the second was a deflection, the third offside, (var is bent) and the 4th ergh well poor Leeds had given up because of all the bad luck and awful decisions.
Plus, dirty City kicked Leeds of the Park, look at the bookings.
They want City to stop the quadruple happening.

What ? I'm channeling my inner dipper.
