Leeds United (A) | Post Match Thread

I’m not a fan of Sterling but today he played very well, ripping Leeds apart with his excellent dribbling and awareness.
Just my opinion.

Agreed. He was creating a lot of chaos. By the way — obviously — if Fern doesn't score, that is 100% nailed-on penalty given by VAR.

Isn't he a Leeds fan ?
He was an Arsenal fan as a kid with big City allegiance now. He’s just spent five minutes giving us absolutely no praise at all and showing where Leeds were poor letting us score.

How shit was that referee? Just look at the stats, they committed many more fouls and also many others not awarded, so we end up with two yellows to their one. What a pathetic biased ref. Also Leeds should be penalised for their fans throwing rubbish on the pitch. Nasty club deserve relegation, hope Everton and Burnley can get the points to make Leeds sink back into where they belong.

For it to make any difference they have to lose one of the remaining 4 games whilst we have to draw one. Unlikely I think but I do think being ahead on GD has a psychological effect in a title race.
Isn't that the other way around? If they lose one they're 4 behind.

Hairy at times, but job done. It's crazy to think this was Leeds' 4th game in April & our 9th. Today was one of those tricky away days against a young revitalised team scrapping against relegation, so it was always gonna be a potential banana skin.

We were well below our best, but made the most of our chances when they came. Sterling played well, albeit at times he looked like he didn't know what he was doing but somehow his moves came off for him. )(

Grealish was OK & kept attracting 2-3 players at a time which created space for others. Jesus was also OK but quieter than he's been, however his goal essentially killed off the game with thoughts turning to keeping a clean sheet & goal difference, to which we're now just one behind the Dippers.

Fatigue & injuries are catching up with us & we've now got a supercritical week ahead. Our concentration must now turn to Wednesday & Real. Hopefully a few days rest & a bit of patching up, & we'll be set to go again with what promises to be a fuckin MONSTER match!

BBC getting it wrong as usual
Leeds 0-4 Man City
City are one point above Liverpool with four games to go.
Their goal difference is only two off the Reds now but the campaign is unlikely to come down to goal difference. For a start both sides would have to drop points which seems unlikely.
Well they are wrong about the goal difference but right about both teams having to drop points.

Bit worried after the first half. Felt very disjointed with big spaces between midfield and attack. The defence looked a little disorganised and there seemed to be a bit of moaning and frustration. Picked it up second half and attitude was much better. Grealish laughing off getting the paper in the face summed up the better attitude. Jesus also scoring the last few games exactly the goals you want a 9 to score
