Leeds United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

We should do it more often. Like Arse do every week. I said to hubby those comments were the scripted by the Rag n Dipper infested biased employees at BBC Salford. I've NEVER known any club called out for this on motd. And fcuk Farke - does he mention when others do it?
Dcmmm

Personally I don’t like it. I hate it when others teams do it and didn’t like it today. All our players running over today like naughty schoolchildren.

We didn’t get much better after it anyway as they scored again!

I found myself calling Pep even in the 1st half with the slow build up especially Dias but he said what was wrong in the post match, put the ball quicker in the box.

We didn't get any better, and everyone around where I sit was annoyed by it, the only thing it did was disrupt leeds a bit, but I guess that is part of it.

I'd prefer we were better than that, and not playing like cowards in the early part of that second half.

I like a lot of you have probably seen those videos on city TV, you tube blah blah of us tapping balls in bins and doing keeps upppys like seals!!

How about they do so some fooking running!

We are simply unable to sustain any kind of tempo for 30 mins never mind 90. It’s absolutely disgusting the lack of physicality and fitness.

January has to be about trimming the squad, we have so much dross, we could easily raise 100m + and clear the way for new talent.

Rebuild the rebuild.
Think your being a bit harsh..
The standard of Football, imo, was always going to be average, across the board, due to Summer tournaments ,fatigue,
and..other issues. ..We just have to accept the players are not robots..

Football,and it's tempo,has changed.....these are ..different days
Hence the recent rush to employ set peice experts at top clubs
Maybe.. just maybe, building up a head of steam to control and over power the oppenent,is not looked upon as valuable these days.

Get used to the " absolutely disgusting lack of physicality and fitness" ....as you called it.
It's here to stay, imo and will probably, lead to more exciting matches ,or unexpected results...

Jesus, I thought I was in the match day thread for a moment. Spoilt cunts all of you. This place gets worse every week.

I'll tell you what's funny though. The commentator's saying "You don't like to see players backing into the keeper" when Silva finally gets it "right" and complaining Donnarumma's injury was very suspicious during the in-game team talk.

Do they have no shame? Arsenal have been doing both for years, and winning games because of them. And now Farke and the BBC chiming in.

I sincerely hope they do change the rules because we have started doing it. I hate it all and it would screw up the PL's favoured champions this year. So it won't happen. How anyone can criticise us for doing it I have no idea. The PL is so fucking inept and obvious it's a joke.

Shocking 2nd half. Just managed to beat a side likely to be relegated. Worrying.
Been in gods own all day and staying over after Numan at the Apollo, early goal a then two up buzzin but fk me why is it all so difficult in the end ?#cmoncity

I'm glad for the win, but we went from coasting and looking like we could give them a thrashing in the 1st half, to fucking about and it almost costing us in the 2nd.

I thought we played really well in the 1st half. We scored a great first, what a finish from Phil, and got another but had a shit load of other chances too.

Not sure what's happening at halftime lately but it's not the first time we've come back out looking lethargic. We're not good enough anymore to slack off and play risky football out from the back.
Nunes made a couple of big mistakes for their first and what Gvardiol is doing for the second is anyone's guess.

We did create some chances and not sure what Erling was doing today but crosses went begging where i think a centre forward should be. I thought Marmoush should've replaced him as he didn't look at it today.

I thought we looked a lot better when Cherki came on, he opened up more space and Phil scored another beauty to save our blushes. We've won like that before and it always feels good, but fuck me can we start making it a bit easier.

Also, I don't think playing with only two primary defenders is helping us, i'd like to see us bring Stones, or Khus, back in and start looking more solid defensively.

I'm going to relish the experience when Farke is sacked. What a massive hypocrite he is! After they tied the score, his players took every possible opportunity to waste time, which backfired on them. Hoisted by their own petard...

Happy with the 3 points. Looking far from team that can really challenge for the title but let's see if we improve. We often do.

Great to see Phil be the game changer. That's what we need from him and he can do it. Can't expect Haaland to score EVERY game in a season.

Team packed with international's coming back from an international break and playing 3 times in a week isn't firing on all cylinders. Colour me shocked ; it happens.

3 points at this stage of the season is all that matters.
If you were happy with that display you’re easily pleased, abysmal performance

Your point about the toll of international duty is a really good one. This is something that is often overlooked, but it's always going to have a real impact.
