I’m not sure that Forest are a big club.

They are basically in the position they were when the greatest British manager took over there in the mid '70s - mid table second tier club.

It was only the genius of Brian Clough, with Peter Taylor, that enabled them to have that great era.

Sadly I think you’re right, we were successful under Clough and Taylor and have had a few glimpses of being decent since but we’re essentially back where we were before Clough took over.

You never know though, we might be big in the future, who knows what the future holds, that’s the beauty of being a football supporter I guess :-)

congrats to Leeds though, this division is a pig to get out of.

I think fans of a certain vintage see Leeds as a big club. And rightly so IMO
I agree. And Leeds have quite a few older fans following them all over the UK and Europe. They were a huge club in the 60/ 70s. If they get it right in the premier league they would fill a 50000 stadium no problem. Leeds are hated by several clubs ever since they and the rags were at the forefront of hooliganism in the bad old days. I've seen some nasty battles with the infamous Leeds service crew but I'm going back to the days of Maine Road. Elland raid used to be an intimidating place to be, not for the faint hearted. But football has mostly changed for the better nowadays and Leeds have been out of the bigtime far too long. I'm glad they're promoted as Leeds are far too big a club to be languishing in the championship.

Every time they come to Maine road they got a right kicking, but they always give it to the shit at old Trafford, still hate the bastards.

At home they were a right handful, mainly because of the numbers, but as you say at Maine Road I never recall them giving us any problems.

Hate Leeds with a passion but they are a top club, far better having clubs like this in the Premier with big fan bases than clubs like Bournemouth.

You could turn that theory to Manchester United they were alright under Busby then shit for years. Then the piss can rocks up has a team bought for him by Edwards floating the club on the stock market and all that lovely extra tv money they managed to cut out of the sky deal. He dominates, retires when he saw what happening at City, they haven’t been near a league title since.

3 managers have won the league in United’s history, our last 3 managers all have a premier league title to their name.

I like Forest let’s hope you can do it in the play offs. If you get promoted that way it’s probably better than finishing top as a feeling. Wembley 99 for us was a roller coaster.

I wonder how the prem will take to them ? History club out of the limelight for a long time now back . Will the prem invite them into the hateful gang or see them as a threat because of the owner ? I guess it boils down to how much money the prem league can make out of them, to see what side of the line they belong
