His spirit lives on...

He's a looker, isn't he?

Fucking hell. And he said it with a straight face. He actually believes it, doesn't he?

It's funny, if you asked Pep and Klopp whether they thought they were top of the pile in terms of football knowledge... they would both reel off a list of influential thinkers that inspired them. Pep would no doubt cite Cruyff, Sacchi, Bielsa etc. I don't think either of them would ever think to say this.

It's the claim of a delusional man with confidence far in excess of his ability.

"Those who know do not speak. And those who speak do not know."

What's the old saying; his ego writes cheques that his talent can't cash.

I think fair dues to him. He knows his style of football and I wouldn't be surprised that if Big Sam stayed there for next season he'd do well enough. Route one, kick-shit, parked-bus football is generally effective with the right mix of players.

Too many teams have tried to play Pep style football only to fail miserably because they don't have the right players and backroom staff for it.

If he stays on I'll he interested to watch Leeds next season. I'm shitting our game against them already.

He's taken over what it is pretty much still a Marcelo Bielsa squad.

Well, he'd have a better squad than the majority of the Championship so there wouldn't be any excuses

Obviously he'd have build his own squad of WWE players but I'd love to see it. Bonus being if it was shit then itd be Leed's loss.

“Far too many people think that I am old and antiquated which is far from the truth. I might be 68 and old but there’s nobody ahead of me in football terms. Not Pep, not Klopp, not Arteta.

First, I know a false 9 is when we push our 6 & 3 up top.

Second, I know a pivot is something our groundsman takes care of at half time.

Third, I know an inverted winger is one that falls on his head.

And finally, I know the last time I played with a double six, I had a pint and a packet of pork scratchings on the table.”
