Barry i hope.
This. Got to be Barry, he's the only player who will be able to cope with Walcott's pace.

I assume this was sarcasm but I wouldn't mind him playing there. Review our games this season and look how many times Barry has been in the right position to make a block or cut out a cross, plus he can tackle. The abilty to read the game properly is in MO far better than blistering pace ( which, I'll admit, can get you out of trouble when you fail to read the game ).

If Barry plays a LB you probably won't even notice that Walcott is playing but you will notice a number of quality passes from the left.

Me thinks Savic? Oh dear lord :(

if this is a crtitcism of savic , you are totally wrong , he played excellent against munich and had olic a top quality winger in his back pocket , he a young player learning the game , he doesnt need your negativity.

No mate , slight missunderstand , I like Savic very much but I think he is just a lil' bit too raw maybe , and I fear that me might get booked to much. But he is solid as the rock and it's very hard to pass by him. I wish we have Micah clone on the other side :)

Walcott can run backwards and still run past Barry. Lets get real here....barry would get murdered as a left back against Walcott

If Micah cannot make it, why not move Lescott to left back with Kolo Toure in central defence alongside Vinnie? Kolo played a blinder at Arsenal the other week and should be really up for it. Also, if he gets injured, its not the end of our world as he would only miss the Africa Cup of Nations. If Savic plays and gets injured instead, we may be struggling for defensive back-up next month.
