Yeah in 2 friendly matches. He would have been destroyed playing against Liverpool. Great potential but not at PL level yet.
Looked great against the likes of Coman, Gnabry and Sane. Any LB in the world would struggle against Salah. Cancelo is regarded as the best LB in the world by lots of people, and Salah made him look dog shite. I reckon he could do a job against most of the PL sides

Who are the lots of people? He was average for the last 4-5 months and before then his forward play was always superior to his defensive play. Don't get me wrong, he's good and will have that 8-12 game purple patch again where he looks like a world beater (nothing to be sniffed at!) but defensively, he's naive to put it mildly.

I quite like the look of (Caio Henrique) from Monaco. 2 goals and 8 assists in 31 starts in the French league last season. Good all rounder could be an option at left-back and would get on well with the Brazilian players most likely.

If we really need a stop-gap option I wouldn’t be against a move for Jordi Alba. I highly doubt Barcelona would sell but it would be worth a go.

Personally I don’t think he’s nowhere near the best Lb in the world, but I’ve seen loads of people say he is

It’s a bit shit if we’re scrabbling around looking for some cheaper left backs when Chelsea just steam in and pay the asking price for a player we supposedly wanted.

Why the fuck do we need to try so desperately to save this extra £10m when we’ve just sold over £100m of players, and needed a proper left back for years?!

My mate Baz could be our answer, he's 39 and can still get from the Welcome in Prestwich to the Same Yet in 35 minutes.

***unless he stops at the Farmers for a beer and a bag of Nobbys.

He's pretty enthusiastic about whole thing and seems keen, he said if Pep comes in for him he'd consider giving up "the tabs and bread".

I smiled and told him "We ain't desperate Baz" and the whole pub laughed, but im starting to think, perhaps I shouldnt have bought him that last pint?!?!

Not that I'm panicking like...

I don't know what Valencia will want but Gaya is not a bad alternative. £50m would be more realstic price than Cucurella. I've seen Grimaldo's name been mentioned; again a not bad alternative but we may have to wait and see if they qualify for this season's Champions League.
