I'm surprised we haven't gone for Borna Sosa. He's a starter for Croatia, and has been doing well for Stuttgart the past few years and is only 24 i believe.

He’s not exactly the most inspiring option - he’s been ok at Wolves, nothing more - but I don’t see any particularly exciting, obtainable left backs anywhere out there at the moment.

And at least he is that - a left back.

Not a midfielder, a right back or a centre back playing out of position. I’ve almost forgotten what it feels like to have an actual left back in the squad!

The concern would be the price Wolves would be asking for him, given our glaring need.

I could see them trying to sting us for £50m - which is excessive given the quality of the player.

He’s not even first choice at Wolves. He’s started on the bench in every one of their last ten Prem games, he’s only started one of Wolves’ last 13 games.

There seems to be something going on with Wolves and Alt-Nouri but, if that means he is available, I think we should put a bid in. He looks like an uncompromising defender with some skill too. We definitely need a left footer on the wing to compliment Grealish's right footed skills. He has much more to offer than Gomez.
However the player I would really go out and get would be via a cheeky bid for Robertson from Liverpool. I agree with the many negative comments about his characteristics but, on the occasions I have watched him as a Scotland supporter in international matches i believe he's definitely someone you would want in your team.
