Left Backs

I always liked Lodi at AM. Was surprised to see him go to forest but they signed 25 players.

I must admit I don’t know how he’s doing at forest but that’s a odd team.

Forest forum say he's come to life after a slowish start. Plenty of shouts for MOTM last two games. Some think he really just wants to go back to Madrid.

In other news, few days ago I saw a half-decent Arsenal source floating a rumour that Tierney is likely to leave Arsenal in the summer.

Both seem better bets than a lot of the recent names. Throw in Ait-Nouri and I think that's how the list is for me.

Theo.... probably not for us. As others have pointed out, not only is he poor defensively, he lacks a bit technically. I doubt we'd spend on Sosa/Raum/Guerriero - Sosa is underwhelming for a 25 year old, Raum is not there defensively, Guerriero is really getting on now. Bayern won't sell their LB to us, no way. And we won't get Barca's prized youngsters. Or sign anyone called Mendy. Spend 100m on Gvardiol? Sure, but we'd sell a CB and you'd still want a specialist LB. Aside from that, there are so few players out there with quality and a balanced game.

Get ready for back threes till the end of the season!

A specialist 'normal' left back is only needed if Pep changes the system from the 325 in place at the minute. Any left back coming in is still gonna have to know how to play LCB in a three or DM. An attacking LB or LWB prob aint gonna cut it.

Makes sense, Lodi might have needed time to adjust plus that team was thrown together. Probably will end up back in Madrid.

I agree with all of this.
I wouldn’t be opposed to Mendy especially if he wants out/Real are done but that’s not happening.
It would be good to just get a solid option and not look for the best left back in the world.
I’d be so keen for Tierney

Mendy just went down injured again.
