Well half those named in the thread weren't "Mancs". Alan Turing came here to work at the University!
Wilson could have buggered off to London to further his TV career but didn't and he championed Manchester and the north west instead. Whether or not he got lucky by chance, the legacy left behind of the Hacienda and Factory records has put Manchester on the musical map of the world.

He thought he was David Watts I suppose we all knew one.
Not for me - agree to disagree - it speaks volumes though that the other opinion divider Steve Coogan played him in the film!
Mind you at the time he was on Granada Reports that other thundercunt Bob Greaves was too.
