Legends remembered in our great city.

Well half those named in the thread weren't "Mancs". Alan Turing came here to work at the University!
Wilson could have buggered off to London to further his TV career but didn't and he championed Manchester and the north west instead. Whether or not he got lucky by chance, the legacy left behind of the Hacienda and Factory records has put Manchester on the musical map of the world.
Turing was an honourable Manc MES.
We have loads of honourable Aussies here, some from Manchester like the BeeGees:)

Ironic that, because he was bullied, into his early death by suicide, all because of his sexuality.
Was a performing arts college last 20 years or so, and very inclusive so must have changed a lot from your time (worked there in the late 00s)
It was a tongue in cheek statement. I was there 90-92. It wasn’t that bad. It was an A level college, so most people elected to further education so generally were ‘adult’ about things. He’d definitely have been bullied as a nerd at my previous two schools though!!
