Leicester (a) Carabao Cup QF post match thread

Yup, defender scythes through Walker's leg and he had nowhere to go unless he dived.
Yeah but there wasn't contact, there wasn't contact, there wasn't contact, there wasn't contact.
And where is "contact" mentioned in the laws of the game? No fucking where. It was a penalty.

Couldn't watch the game tonight. What was all the cheating shit being mentioned?
8 minutes of stoppage time for a game that saw no second half goals (at the time of added time being added), 6 subs and a couple of short stoppages. Should have been 5 minutes at the very maximum. And then a penalty to Leicester as a result of Gray going down under a non challenge by Walker.....the same player the same referee sent off for shoulder barging Calvert Lewin earlier on this season.

Before the game I was a bit sceptical about playing him because of the way Leicester play but I thought he showed his experience tonight. Even the little things like drawing a cheap foul when he was under pressure helped the team out as it slowed down Leicesters tempo when they gained momentum. It certainly wasn't the yaya we were used to seeing but it was a good performance from him imo.

Very solid and won't embarrass himself in his final year with us when required.

Still a great passer of the ball and as mentioned has experience you require in these games , the youngsters can learn a lot from playing in the same side as Yaya.

You can't see that there isn't contact either, but you can see Walker has control of the ball & the Leicester player waving a leg in the direction of Walker's leg after the ball has gone.

If there wasn't contact, Walker has fucked up, because there should have been.

the one thing that makes me not sure is the final move of Walker's right leg. That one looks like it might be the natural move after being caught. But still, before seeing it from another angle, I'd pick "not penalty" first. And if it was at other side, I'd say "no fucking penalty"-

There isn’t contact. And I’m glad he got booked for it because now he can’t get a two match ban as far as I’m aware.

Pretty sure retro action is only considered if the simulation leads to the ref awarding a pen or red card
