Leicester (a) Carabao Cup QF post match thread

For all those slagging Yaya, who happen to have a recording of the game: stop the clock at 01:08 of extra time.

Gundogan crappily gives the ball away, Leicester boot it,Danilo bizarrely heads the ball inside, to that little twat No20, Zinchenko has hopelessly lost Mahrez & he is being played onside, by our two cbs.

The next touch is a bad one, the next one would be a simple pass, most of us lot could play, to put Mahrez through 1v1 with the keeper & probably knock us out of the cup. But the oldest bloke on the pitch, sees it, takes it away & starts a City attack.

That's what he was doing all night: clearing up other people's shit.

+111

moved to the wrong club.
Leicester are a slightly more shit version of ManUre. Surely Iheanacho's people knew this before he went there? Getting behind the defence & latching on to long balls over the top isn't his game. He likes the ball to feet in & around the opposition penalty area.

I really hope it works out for him though.

Amazing victory considering we were playin with youngesters and against a full strength side with ref by their side. Would help the development of youngsters alot. Yaya. Zinchenko both played well. Zincheko deserves a pl start on that showin imo. Beating rags again would be fun

Those slagging him off for last night's performance have gone OTT imo.

However, there were several instances where we lost the ball & it was painful having to watch Yaya wheeze his way back toward our area whilst being outstripped for pace by everyone, including the slug I spotted munching away at the grass on the pitch.

In those situations he needs younger legs around him, but Foden & Gundogan were never going to provide the box to box support the elderly Yaya needed.

We won; & Yaya is seeing out his final season with us. He blotted his copy book with Cake-Gate, but he's still one of the 2 best players in our 140 year history along with Spanish Dave.

Hopefully the supporting role he's playing this season will go a long way to repairing the damage he caused.

One example doesn't reflect a full game. Whos shit was he clearing up with his many poorly placed passes? With age his legs are gone and it proves that with getting nowhere near our first team.

I take it you've checked the stats on his misplaced passes ? Was it below 75% pass completion ?

I watched the game, second half/extra time when he gets leggy his passes become wild. Even straight forward passes that might find a man but over/under hit. His legs are gone, Pep obviously thinks the same and you are allowed to say on this forum. Gundogan was similar towards the end of the game with sloppy passing.
