Leicester (a) Carabao Cup QF post match thread

For all those slagging Yaya, who happen to have a recording of the game: stop the clock at 01:08 of extra time.

Gundogan crappily gives the ball away, Leicester boot it,Danilo bizarrely heads the ball inside, to that little twat No20, Zinchenko has hopelessly lost Mahrez & he is being played onside, by our two cbs.

The next touch is a bad one, the next one would be a simple pass, most of us lot could play, to put Mahrez through 1v1 with the keeper & probably knock us out of the cup. But the oldest bloke on the pitch, sees it, takes it away & starts a City attack.

That's what he was doing all night: clearing up other people's shit.

Agreed mate. He didn't have as many out balls as Ederson usually has to pick from. He was still average overall though.

Huge gulf between him and Ederson.

I can't believe the number of posters who can't or don't want to recognize what he can still offer.
Yaya doesn't select himself it's Pep who has faith in him, Pep the same chap who everyone is salivating over.

Think I got the wrong quote there :-(

Yaya not Eddy

One example doesn't reflect a full game. Whos shit was he clearing up with his many poorly placed passes? With age his legs are gone and it proves that with getting nowhere near our first team.

His 'poorly placed passes' is a load of bollocks.

And yes, he isn't getting anywhere near the starting team anymore, he isn't at the same level as KDb or Silva.

Which doesn't mean a load of wankers have to exaggerate everything & pick on him.

He was, last night, at the same or better level than Gundogan, who had a far easier job.

Yaya is obviously getting towards the end of his career with us but that is no reason to be disrectful. Ungrateful twats. Been an absolute monster for us over the years...

Absolutely. I guess some people are slating him because he's a shadow of the player he used to be, but I thought he was good last night in the role he has seemed to embrace this year - that of senior statesman and mentor to the younger players. All game you could see him cajoling, advising and encouraging the kids. That kind of on-field teaching is a goldmine to players coming through, and sure, while he barely got further than the centre circle, he still controlled that central midfield pretty well.

The Yaya of old is gone. That's sad, but it's life.

I was getting the right hump at the ref and foxes trying to cheat our young kids and b players, karma struck the ugly fuckers in the end
yaya has got old not crap,he couldn't cope with our pressing prem games but cups is fine
bravo shitted me with his footwork but well done on the pen save as i put in his thread
I don't think this team would win the cup v strong chavs and rags teams or the arses but pep might go stronger as the other will and as we had to when we won it before

His many poorly placed passes. FFS, are you an idiot? Seriously. His pass completion was 94.5% - the best by far of any participant in the match - the only player in the 90's. Can you do the math?
