Leicester City 2016/17

Let it go.

Lance Armstrong had a small team helping aid him with doping and keeping people quiet in a sport where doping seriously enhances a INDIVIDUAL endurance race only, not uncommon for bike racing

Leicester Football Club have 25-30 players in the squad, plus reserves, plus the manage, coaches, physio's etc , we're talking hundreds of people. And they are ALL involved are they ? They are all keeping quiet ? In a age of social media. All stemming from ... They run alot and avoided Alot of Injuries ?? Leicester used 23 players last season, the same number as Spurs. Stats also show other team actually ran more than them.

They got lucky that Man U were awful, Chelsea imploded under Mourinho and Man City had a iffy season. But the way they played as a team and the spirit they showed, they deserved that luck.

It's sour grapes that shadows a huge achievement to make this claim and unfair.

No sour grapes here, if they didn't win it there was another couple of teams in front of us. I'm old enough and cynical enough to call things as I see them

It's not that they ran more, it's that they never seemed to tire as the other teams did which would give any competitor a physical and psychological edge. They didn't deserve their luck, as most of it stemmed from bollocks, biased refereeing that was never picked up on.

Let me give you another example. The Crossfit Games has become a pretty big thing in recent years.I jokingly call them the juice olympics, but they are adamant they test the athletes and they are clean. A week before this years games, they did a youtube behind the scenes video with the girl who went on to win it and she was shown having breakfast. Right behind her, sat on her fridge was a big tub of what I know is a banned substance. No one even questioned this.

There's no way you can tell me that certain players aren't obviously juiced. I've played high level sports and seen ephedrine passed around in locker rooms and eaten like skittles. You only have to look at the eyes of some of them and the way they sweat to see they are juiced.

BUT, and I've said this lots of times in this thread, it's a huge can of worms and I doubt there's a team in the league that doesnt have a bunch of them doing it, and I'd look close to home too.

As for a big cover up, all you need is a doctor and a patient. No one else needs to know.

To be honest, I agree with you on this... probably ALL PL teams will be guilty of doping in some for or another.

Keep calm, there are no PEDs here.

Lance Armstrong got away with doping for years and he was tested more than anyone. Does anyone know if PL players are even tested?

I read an article that showed how many tests were done on players in total. It averaged out to about 2 tests per player per year.

Whats the score with testing in cricket? Not wishing to cast aspersions here, but Chris Woakes has had an exponential rise over the last 12 months or so in regards to his bowling. He is similar to Leicester in the fact 12 months ago he was on the ropes. This series he has been the best bowler. His pace is up and he is bowling long spells. Now there is no evidence or suggestion Chris Woakes is or ever has taken PED's. Yet I expect PED's would have a dramatic effect on fast bowling so after reading this thread, it got me thinking about testing in cricket

They put the PEDs in their tea and scones.
