And yeah it just seems to easy to bypass our midfield and suddenly the defence is in panic mode and on the backfoot

It's never going to be difficult with only 1 player there, and little or no "press" from anyone else.

Bernardo was OK today, but was rarely in midfield, Foden awful, and never in midfield (or offering support to the defence either), KdB, whilst trying, just giving the ball away constantly.

Unfair on Kovacic (and to a degree Rico), to do that much work on his own.

I was reading the betting thread last night and unashamedly decided to wack a tenner on Leicester at 9/1.

It was the best £10 I've spent for ages.

I never bet on or against City....
But I might put another £10 on West Ham next week!

Haaland had to remind Pep to thank our fans cheering him after the win.

I saw it differently - Pep wanting the players to take the plaudits, Haaland pushing him towards the fans when they were singing his song.

They had all the possession, mostly in our half, and we couldn't keep hold of the ball, one decent chance taken, we'd have lost, luckily steptoe was awful, looked like an old man pretending to be a footballer.

It's a very welcome 3 points but defensively we were poor again, not just the back 4 but most of the team. The 2nd goal was against the run of play, (a really good goal though) and I thought we looked knackered at that point but we had lady luck with us today for a change.

I wonder why it suddenly clicked from Pep today ti give Mcatee a chance. I think he's that pissed off with several first team players at present and thought what we're all thinking, and that is that he couldn't do any worse

You criticise Rico, who is one of our defenders for the number of goals he scores? You also blame him for our midfield issues. Absolute nonsense.

He doesn’t always play in defence does he? When he’s played in midfield and got himself in a position to score I can think of one time he scored but plenty where his shooting has been awful.
He has played in defence and midfield so I think it’s valid to scrutinise both.
