Leicester City (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

win was great, but our performance was brutal shit out of possession. Leicester were able to keep coming and have chances after chances. its like our back 4 wasnt even there. crosses were not blocked by Lewiss and Gvardiol, who did Ake and Akanji mark when they had all those header chances some from pretty close range.., midfield again stopped nothing and Leicester players were able to bypass them with ease. bit better finish from them and we lose this 3-2 or draw 2-2. and this is a side that is likely going to go down and in poor form recently. top half sides will continue to punish us and we have about 9-10 games vs them left second half of the season if we dont improve a lot very quickly.

Pep needs to stop this rot, fitness wise something is fucked up big time, and not sure what is the solution to that. no way we will all of a sudden look fresh and proper fit next few months. this is sometime that would need a long long summer break followed by a proper pre-season where focus is on the fitness of the players built for a long season and not the fucking merchandising games all over the world with lots of travel around Asia and US tours. but thats already fucked with the CWC commitment which can take these tired players into mid June to finish the season and then again a pre season thats too short and not ideal but in this case for the whole squad not the the ones selected for Euros etc. add in some big money friendly tour hopefully in a place where there is monsoon or very bad weather some game postponed as it always is recent seasons.

Hopefully we have 1/2 new faces to come in and do a bit of graft in the middle.

I liked the timing of Pep’s subs today.

Just after the hour mark - McAtee for Foden to give us some more legs and an out ball in midfield.

And Walker for Ake on 70 minutes. Their left winger was causing Rico a lot of trouble in the second half and it stemmed that. It also managed Ake’s minutes on his return.

Got back at 19.15hrs.
Firstly let me applaud the away end today. We were fucking immense and Never stopped singing. No shit half and half scarves, no tourists proper fans getting the tickets is how it should be.
Thought we controlled the game for long periods and looked better. Green shoots of recovery hopefully.
Massive word for Mcatee. Looked superb when he came on. Made things happen. Get him on the pitch moving forward. Haaland a lot better. Totally different player after the goal. We are still shaky defensiveley and my concern was how easy Leicester cut through us when they attacked. We miss Dias for his leadership for sure. Hopefully a few Jan signings in midfield will help to resolve matters.
Foden is a worry. Very poor today. Lets hope he gets back to how we know he can be.
See you at West Ham.

So pleased for Erl, the smile on his face after scoring, priceless.

Mcatee was so proud of himself after his play in the goal, and rightfully so, brilliant.

Was getting pissed off with the stupid off side rule.
Looked like Steptoe or others were clean through only for the flag to go up after one of our players had put a challenge in.
Asking for unnecessary injuries that.

I'm sure we went on pre season tour of the Far East before we won the treble! or was it the Isle of Man??

Think youare mostly right but I think we seemed a little more proactive in going forward today.....attacking wise for me it seemed a slight improvement.

The midfield ad defensive issues are still galringly obvious however and you are right...they could and should have scored a few at least.
I thought attacking wise we were a bit better v Everton as well

And yeah it just seems too easy to bypass our midfield and suddenly the defence is in panic mode and on the backfoot

Hopefully this is the first issue that’s addressed in the window.. maybe even before West Ham
