Leicester City (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Have a look at his birth certificate
?

He’s made 46 first team appearances for us, and he’s 20 years old according to a quick wiki glance.

He’s had opportunities and then some. And at 20 he’s not “very young” in footballing terms to me. I’ve listed my concerns with him in another post on here. He may become a better player in time, one worthy of a starting place in a top 4 side, but I don’t see it. I’d like to see him moved on - with a buy-back clause if needed, in case you’re right, but as I say, I just can’t see it at the moment.

The drop off in quality which he represents is major weakness in our team imho.

I just want the best mate, I take that over where he’s from.
I know what you mean about cutting slack, but for me despite being “only 20”, he’s had more than enough opportunities to show he’s up to scratch.

But just to be clear, yep, I love local lads coming through too. Brilliant what Foden has done over the years, and I deffo wanna see McAtee start next match for example, he was excellent today.
If Pep thinks he's good enough.
He's good enough

Did we ? I can only remember Ortega making one decent save second half - the tip over from Vardy's header. Apart from the earlier glaring miss by him, they didn't batter us.
I'm sure it depends on what tv channel you watch influences it - I was watching it on South African tv and the two commentators (British) were pretty neutral and my view was a relatively balanced game - but when my feed died 15 minutes before the end and I turned overhad to Sky I was being informed by Mr Neville and his sidekick that I had been watching a pretty one-sided game that City were lucky to be winning........!!

Cnuts I too watch a S A stream and they’re great

A win is a win is a win.
Ok, not without flaws, but you need to win to gain the all important element of confidence. Win against Wham and it starts to flood back.
Top 4 is easily attainable and a key to income.
I’m confident we will improve now, not to former greatness, but to respectability.
There were hints the other day that McAtee would be made available in the window. Even if he turns out to be relatively ordinary we should keep him until our midfield problems are solved. He is a committed trier, with young legs and energy, just what we need to start our climb. Great cameo today.
