Fernandinho made some good tackles but I just don't think he is good enough in that position. Several times this season he's been caught out with a simple ball in behind because his positioning is wrong.

I would start Laporte and Otamendi against Madrid.

If there was ever a game for Fernandinho in the Middle it is the Madrid Game.

Sensational second half display. Kudos to the boys for sticking to our principles and passing those horrible kick n rush merchants to death. Marvellous assist from Mahrez and Jesus in a little 15minute cameo looked what we all hope he can become - one of the world’s top strikers.

Deserved reward for hard work. Maybe we should start not shooting from penalties with the taker nudging it to an in-rushing player to pass or shoot.

I remember Henry and Pires trying this against us and failing but it could work - see Cruyff and Olsen for Ajax
