I don’t want someone as good as Rodri. I just want an experienced player that can do a short term job until Lavia is ready (if the club believes in him). If Fernandinho could run he’d be ideal, but we have to find another option.

Agreed. Fern can't do it any more, at least against the rapid counter-attacking teams. Walker was a big miss today because he is great at mopping up quick counters. Bernie and even Foden can play a bit deeper if required though you lose their creative flair. We are still weak down the middle when Rodri is missing.
