Leicester City (H) - Post-Match Thread

Great win, but really weird performance. Our defence looked shaky from the moment Leicester had their first chance on target, they were cutting through us with ease.
Pep needs to give Foden and Grealish a break now and start them both against Brentford, need some fresh legs for these next couple of games

Good match by us but Premier League is becoming really soulless and pathetic.

The lower Teams don't even try to win the game anymore and just refuse to play with 10 men Infront of the Goalkeeper.

Football is becoming like F1

3 goals in 10 minutes, every time Leicester get a result against us something like that happens. The difference is we are now in a different class so we can counteract that.
Our sloppiness and defending were poor, I can imagine Pep giving them sh1t in the dressing room

I don’t remember seeing this City side under Pep show such a different performance level from one half to the next. It’s almost impossible that we can be that good for the opening 45 mins and then so bad for the next 45.

The midfield and forward line were sensational for the 1st half and an utter embarrassment for the 2nd. Fern, Gundo, KDB, Bernie, Sterling and Mahrez just decided to stop playing. I don’t care how good we are, we will struggle against anyone if half of the team just decide that they can’t be arsed for 45 mins. Not overly impressed that Pep just sat there and watched it happen either.
Brilliant as we are, this team also has a lazy and complacent streak which rears its ugly head every now and again. That second half attitude needs jumping on by the management

Why shouldnt Raheem Sterling be a city fans hero ?

What I don't understand is why it shouldn't be simply possible to give Sterling criticism where criticism is due, and praise where praise is due. Today, Sterling was man of the match. Rightly so.
It was over on the other side where there was a dire drop-off. By comparison with the first half, Mahrez did almost nothing right.

Thought Madison was very good for them - Maybe Madison > Grealish?
He certainly has some talent but not based on last season's showings. I thought quite a few Leicester players did well including Lookman and Kelechi

Was expecting a tough game against them, they have some weapons going forward and it showed in patches in the first half and in their purple patch in the second half.

Once we were 4 up after 25 I thought I could just drink my beer and eat my Christmas left overs in peace and enjoy the show, but credit to Leicester they ended that idea quickly.and made it stressful viewing.

I thought our back 4, especially Cancelo and Zinchenko were poor, and were caught in the middle of the pitch on the counter to often, but having said that the overload in the middle created our goals besides the first penalty in the first half so it was a catch 22 for me, it was a game where I feel Pep thought we'll just score 4/5 and live with conceding 1 or 2 instead it got out of hand until Laporte headed home the 5th.

Will take the 6 point lead coming into this period, if we can get 3 points at Brentford leading into the Arsenal game we're where we want to be.

Onto the next one, that game will be forgotten quickly.
