Hopefully we can take our chances early tomorrow and get the game won. Can see Foden and Diaz getting some game time when Pep may bring off a few players with the CL game in the week.

Going to be interesting to see the centre back choices develop. Due to Laporte’s comfortable debut, including his effective crossball, the amount paid for him and being the only left footed option it may be he is chosen regularly on the left side. The much improved Otamendi has been consistent and our best centre back. It could well be that many people’s first choice cb pairing at the start of the season will be back ups?
Obviously not seen enough of Laporte to date.

I think this’ll be 1-0 and an essential 3 points.

Didn't make one difference against Newcastle the other week. I can recall the Chelsea game years ago when Anelka scored to win us the game 1-0 if I remember right. Electric atmosphere that night. City fans in general seem to have got complacent, need to step it up now we are entering the business time of the year.

Otamendi has been excellent this season, arguably amoung the top 5 CB's maybe has a change of getting in the team of the year.
