Why?

I would personally play him as he’s been great, but what makes you think that? Why would he be given assurances that he’s going to start every game when fit when we have Stones, Laporte and Kompany? He’s hardly a De Bruyne. Players don’t only sign a new contract if they’re guaranteed to start every match. He may actually fancy a fight and proving himself every week, and pushing himself to get better and actually earn a starting place.
I never said he would start every match but I do feel he is our best performing CB and will expect the lions share of the games - and rightly so, unless his form drops off. Vinnie can no longer be relied upon and John is still developing. Aymeric is too new to form an opinion, but the signs look good. So as of today, Ota is our #1 in my mind.

So I’m probably being a drama queen here but last weekend felt like a real set back given the position we were in. My dreams of winning the league on derby day can be restored with a win today. We’ve had a weeks rest so I expect high tempo and not to let Leicester have a sniff. Normally we find it difficult against this lot but without mahrez we should find it easier.

I think Mahrez will play, and given our injury problems, coupled with the way they play - ie.Vardy and Gray racing downfield after 60 yard punts in oceans of space - I'd rate this as one of our toughest remaining fixtures. Come out of it with a win and even an arch pessimist like me can only see us winning the title. A defeat would bring all manner of unnecessary extra pressure though, not because I expect us to go on a disastrous run particularly, but rather because the next PL game after it is Arsenal away, where we've stunk the place out more or less non-stop for 45 years, and as I can easily see United winning 10 of their last 12 (they've only lost once to a team outside the top 6 all season), a lead of 7 or 8 points with 10 games left, rather than 13 points, would absolutely galvanise them. Winning today is imperative

Exactly this

A rested City will be way too much for Leicester, I think Mahrez will play but can't see him putting too much of a shift in, if I was the manager I wouldn't have him in the squad today, he's not trained for 10 days too

Agreed but according to some on here it’s not!

Personally think we'll give them a hiding today, but what do I know....

Stones has struggled the last few times against Leicester, however he will only improve if he's allowed to eradicate mistakes against teams like this...

I'd be trying stones and Laporte, we could really press them high with those two switching into the midfield seamlessly, Vardy will be shot after 40 minutes all the running he'll have to do..

Going for a 4-1, kicking us on before the champions league!
