No guarantee that if you splash the cash, the team will perform any better. Villa look shit but have spent plenty. Forest again have a tough job knitting a cohesive team together. Just on a separate point, what is Rogers problem with Nacho? would prefer playing a blunt instrument in Vardy. Strange management. Brendan will be at Villa as soon as slippy gets the boot.Depends if that place is 17th instead of 18th?

Last night was worse than Forest again us because they had time on the ball but showed very little quality, at least Forest had the excuse of barely touching the ball.

Caught the final half an hour last night. They look awful. Selling Kasper was an odd one, he was their captain and gave them some personality. N'didi as centre back, maddison look like a shadow of the player previous. Tried to pass it out from the back repeatedly despite their best shot clearly being a ball over the top to Barnes. Vardy has lost the spark, and Daka and Ihenacho on the bench must be grinding their teeth.
Rodgers to go before October and will come down to whether the new guy can get that group to play something coherent.

Weird isn't it. I thought Nacho was MotM at OT last season. I agree with you about Rodgers ending up at Villa. He looked like he was just going through the motions last night, a bit like his team. I do agree about Slippy G though especially as this morning's press conference has him practically advocating violence against our players... ''we need to HURT this team' then telling their fans to 'stick together and fight'.... now there are two ways of interpreting those statements I know but when it is discussing City I take it one way and one way only Slippy!! :-) ;-)
