Bit silly that, he inherited shit and or ageing defence, one window to put this right, big ask, I blame previous manager who had no idea how to defend, remember, last year we were introduced to the 4 goal woopings we had forgot about.

Why do we need a 4th player to defend against the first goal ?
 
We realy need to set a team out and stick to it though, especially at the back, the otter and stones are our only senior centrebacks and shoehornig them into a 3 or switching them about when they are a relatively new partnership isn't helping, and it's not all Peps fault, Fullbacks and back up for vinny was essential in the summer and not addressed, if that was because we expected the kids to come through, then either use them or get in some new personel in Jan
 
I think we need to be realistic. We are not challenging for titles this year because these problems aren't going to go away quickly. This month could end up being horrendous for us. The defensive performance today was an absolute shambles. Pitiful

We have needed defenders who can defend, since Lescott & Kompany broke up. We briefly got away with Demichelis in spite of him & Joe Hart combining to create comedy for 6 months.

Then we signed 3 centre backs who are not especially good at defending.
 
I think the general consensus is

If we had super Joe in net
If our defenders weren't slow, cowardly and stupid
If the ref gave us 4 or 5 penalties
If ya ya wasn't put on as a striker
If we played a back 4
If kdb didn't hide like a 12 year old girl on jim'll fix it
If pep wasn't arrogant
If the opposition didn't try hard against us

We may have sneaked a draw


Sort it pep and do it now
