We're about 1/3 of the way through the season now and here's what I've learned:
1. First thing's first - Bravo is fucking garbage and Pep wants shooting for dumping Hart in favour of him. A very very bizarre decision.
2. This 'playing out from the back' - This is great if you're Barcelona or Bayern in a league where it's 'allowed' out of respect / fear. This is the premier league and no fucker gets away with it here. No team ever has. It needs to stop as of today. It simply does not and will not work in this league.
3. These constant personnel and formation changes - again no need and totally avoidable. Pick your best 11, playing them in their 'proper' positions, let them gel, let them build cohesion and momentum. See Chelsea this year and Leicester last year for proof it works.
4. The Barcelona game was a double edged sword - we haven't played well since - because most of this mob now think they've made it and no longer have to do the fucking basics anymore.
5. We are half the team (defensively) without Fernandinho. I've championed him for years as the best in Europe at what he does. Take him out the team and it becomes glaringly obvious he isn't there to 'mop up' and bail us out 5-10 times a game. We need a 2nd Fernandinho in this squad.
6.Pep isn't as clever / good as he and most of us thought.
I agree with 1-5, especially No 5. I think he is very good (one of the best, with Ancelotti) and very clever but ego and idealism can get in the way of the job of managing the team.Everybody is not dumb in England, and there is a reason why idealistic football is not really adopted because It gets smashed!. So there is no unseen, unknown nuisanced innovative idea or equation that will break the England code. It comes down to playing the game of football at the end of the day. Be a good team, pick the right tactics and play with diligence, hardwork and intelligence and success will come.
