Leicester City v City post match.

This is a very good point, and often overlooked, I've been very critical of our defending and the constant fiddling with tactics of late, and I stick by that, but these 2 need to sort their shit out also, Silva was terrible today, one of the worst performances he's put in for us imho, and KdB was little better, Gundogan much the same, today was lost because of bad defending again, but also some brainless midfield play.

It's been fucking obvious that Silva and KDB are not effective when playing in the same side. Yaya and/or Sterling should have started today. Nolito also deserves more game time, one of the few who knows how to finish.

I have that old city feeling that we are cursed, I remember back in the day, when certain big money signings were not working out, Daley, Reeves et al saying whoever signed for us would be end up shit, even Pele, then, I remembered who I was comparing the great man to, I realised I was wrong, it's silly really we lost today because we cannot defend against a striker who has not had a shot on target since September blaming the ref is facile, the manage needs a rethink rapido :-(

Cursed eh? Got taken over by an Arab Sheikh and won two titles. I wish I was cursed like that.

This could seriously put the Messi deal in major jeopardy .

Tbh, so what? I want us as a club to have our own identity rather than paying a shedload of money to get a guy here who lets face it couldn't care less about us as a club. We want him here as some sort of showpiece and it's frankly ridiculous. We need to rebuild from the back rather than trying to emulate Barcelona from 6 years ago. Not having a go at you at all but I hope to god we don't sign him as it will put us even further back as a club.

When everythings going well kdb is a world class talent, games like today hes a total shithouse of a player who looks like he daren't tackle? at least twice in 2nd hlf he "bottled it", far from the only useless twat today mind

I feel the same way about you as a poster.....

Im fine with that.....

Unfortunately for you however its a football forum and whether u like it or not people are allowed to express opinions and feelings....i can deal with them but if its so much of a problem for you then there are alternatives...bit like i said im fine with your view of me

Best comment on here tonight......Earlier a poster said we have a 0-10-0 system. With Bravo being a false 1....
I have heard of the false 9 position - Natcho off and Yaya on - that baffled me -
Unfortunately , Hart ' s boat has sailed. Pep would not be brave enough to recall Hart - and Hart has said his future is elswhere.
We do not have the players to play a back 3.
4 full backs over 30. The first 10 games Pep did play a back 4 so he will have to swallow his pride and put players in their best positions.
Starting with Watford on Wednesday. Bring some youthful legs into the team , Garcia , Maffeo etc....and play a back 4 - until Pep has the players who can play his systems. Watford will not be a walk over - on Weds.

Back to the basics would be de Bruyne in midfield, Sterling and Nolito on the wings and Iheanacho in the middle. Sterling and Iheanacho always seem to work great together.

And of course a back 4.

Not sure what to do with Fernando. He's not good enough. Maybe Toure or Gundogan would do better?

The third (4th that you can't remember) was Nacho being hacked from behind.
Unfortunately, while I agree its a foul on the replay, during full pace I never noticed it, so you're almost never going to get a penalty for that, the defender is going to clear a ball, and Kelechi doing his best to block the clearance gets caught, but as the defender does clear the ball, it looks like nothing at full speed, and only the replays show it clearly was a foul (therefore penalty).

Anyway penalties not given is not why we lost today, it was simply because the manager failed to understand what Leicester are all about, and didn't adapt his tactics to how they might play, so we ended up with a very slow team (again), against quick counter attack.

Mourinho knows the league a lot better, but it's still 9 points behind.
Your clasping at straws mate. Not interested in Mourinho I look to our real competitors like Chelsea Liverpool and Arsenal they are who we should be comparing ourselves with not the crap from Trafford. We are losing ground on them. Quite concerning really.

Have to respectfully disagree with you there. Admittedly, if you do it badly it's likely to give away a goal (especially when every shot on target seems to go in...), but when the alternative is giving away a corner, or a throw-in, or hoofing it right back to the opposition, you'll give up a lot more chances indirectly than if you pass back to the keeper every time. The trick is not to do it blind (FFS) and not to wait 10 seconds before doing it, by which time it's your only option and a smart attacker will anticipate it.
I'm not saying hoof it into the stands every time(although sometimes that is necessary) - but City seem to want to pass it to Bravo rather than to pass forwards through midfield.
