We need Kompany or somebody of that ilke, without him we're dogshit at the back, we keep chucking top money at prospective defenders and getting nowhere.
I was all for getting rid of Hart because he cost us 8-10 points a season with his mistakes, Stones is costing us even more points. I'm still willing to give him a chance though because I know he's a good player and still learning, would love to see him play alongside Kompany if only for a few months just so he could guide him because Stones likes to play like a seasoned vet when he still has a hell of a lot to learn, having somebody like Kompany at the side of him would give him the kick up the arse he needs.

Pep needs to return to 4141 and leave one of Silva, KDB or Gundy out and play Sterling and Nolito on the wings again.

Back to the basics would be de Bruyne in midfield, Sterling and Nolito on the wings and Iheanacho in the middle. Sterling and Iheanacho always seem to work great together.

And of course a back 4.

Not sure what to do with Fernando. He's not good enough. Maybe Toure or Gundogan would do better?

Gundogen has been a let down. Maybe its the system I dont know but he was dynamite at BD.

No leaders on the pitch - Zabba and Dave seemed the only ones even trying to raise morale. The rest kept their heads down like a bunch of disheartened school kids.

Kolarov is a lazy liability - how does a manager put up with that half arsed jog back for their goal - he needs to be out of the team.

Bravo is a downgrade on Joe - it's been apparent since his first games - it's not just his keeping, it's his lack of leadership, and his fabled distribution is like the emperor's new clothes.

At the moment we have the worst of all worlds - we can't defend and we are finding it really hard to score. There's no zip in our forward passing.

We have on paper the best squad in the league. It's time that Pep and his coaching staff and the players step up as if this carries on then we've got no chance this season.

I understand that the shift to three at the back midseason worked for Conte, but he had the right players for it with Moses and Alonso as wingbacks.
Pep ready messed up with the kneejerk reaction of doing the same and seeing if it sticks. It doesn't - City doesn't have the players for such a system.

I thought we were 4 at the back today. I keep reading it was a 3. Can you please tell me who our wing-backs were?

I'm not saying you're wrong. You may well be right and I probably agree with you.

But that doesn't change a thing I posted previously regarding the performance of the ref.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I type that I don't blame our wank performance on the ref, but if the ref does his job, it's highly unlikely that we lose that game. I'm not sure why you aren't getting that.

But im more concerned at looking at what we can change (or at least whst pep can change) rather than lokking and worrying/thinking about something we have no control over and never will. Lets take the refs out of yhe equation so to speak by degending and attacking better so we dont have to rely on the very inconsistent reffing
