Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

Yeah both grew into the game after a shaky/starstruck start.

Edozie is a bit different to what we have in the first team,id like him to stick around the squad while i think Palmer would benefit from a loan.
Yeah agreed mate, on both points, would actually also like to see what Edozie’s like on the right in the future too, more of the traditional winger role.

Incidentally I have said since Ihaneacho left we need a striker.
we over relied on Sergio for far too many years. Yep it’s only a glorified friendly but we still want to win. Like others have said it reminded me of the CL Final, we just didn’t look like scoring and looked a bit iffy at the back.

Had lots of best players out, Leicester didn’t. Harsh pen but fair play Leicester were better in first half and should have been ahead. Comm shield an odd thing. Matters if you win doesn’t if you don’t. Was good to be there for Jack’s debut. Which if nothing else woke the subdued city fans up. Just seen MEN player ratings and wondering if I watched the same disjointed, error strewn, creative free game? Apart from ake and steffen no one really matched the occasion. Dias too maybe.

A good experience for the young lads, a good fitness session for the players and we move on. It is nowt more than a friendly and doesn't bother me in the slightest we lost. Gives us plenty to work on. Grealish looked very good when he came on. Already not getting those free kicks!

Thought the same.

Dinho is definitely showing his years, and we partly renewed his contract because Rodri isnt the genuine article - Ndidi showed him how to play DM today, and i dont think he would be good enough for us either.

It is a concern,as the EDS potential is only that at present.

Ahh, there it is. The first (possibly) of what will no doubt be many Dinho aged related comments this season.
