Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

Yeah where we had to break records whilst relying on the teams above us to trip themselves up. What we achieved was incredible, it can not be relied on or expected every season
What we did in 2018-2019 winning the last 14 matches to deny the Dippers(who were equally dominant) the title was still a far more incredible achievement than our comeback last season. We started slow but eventually found our rhythm and took control of the see saw race. The most important thing for the club is we get into a good run of wins, at least 10+ and will be favourite once again.

A week before the season starts after several weeks off is hardly rushing them back. Its also the reason we have two players for almost every position.
Don’t forget, many of them had no pre-season break last year, either, and they played about 20 games more than most teams they see on a weekly basis…not to mention playing with niggles from which they never get the chance to fully recover.

Should definitely be 4 weeks between end of competitive football and start of pre-season.

The money is turning the game into a 12 month sport, which is great for fans, but is killing the top international players.

On its own it is no big deal, but had three of these in a row.

Easy money though.
